The Black Dog Inn - Broadmayne

Historic pub hotel in Broadmayne with a children's playground and free private parking

Rooms and Amenities

The Black Dog Inn Broadmayne offers soundproofed rooms equipped with flat-screen TVs with Freesat and en suite bathrooms. Each bright, airy bedroom includes tea and coffee making facilities. A family suite with separate bedrooms and its own front door is available for larger groups.

Dining and Bar

Full English breakfasts are served daily in the restaurant, with an evening menu available seven days a week. The traditional bar serves real ales and offers a selection of wines and champagne. For warmer months, the large garden seating area provides space for drinks and meals outdoors.

Location and Parking

The Black Dog Inn is set in Broadmayne, a 10-minute drive from Dorchester town centre and 20 minutes from Weymouth's beaches. Free private parking is available on-site, a convenience often scarce in this area. Nearby attractions include Athelhampton House, 8 km away, and Monkey World, 11 km away.

Family and Children

An outdoor children's playground is located in the garden, alongside a sun terrace for parents to relax. The hotel provides family rooms and a family suite with extra space for sleeping. Highchairs and kids' meals are available in the restaurant, and the beer garden keeps younger guests entertained.

Entertainment and Pub Life

Darts equipment is available for guests to use in the bar area. The Black Dog Broadmayne hosts live music events, such as the beer and music festival, and occasional outdoor performers. The pub closes by 11:00 pm, ensuring a quiet night for all guests.
